BRITAIN TAKING MATTER UP WITH JAPAN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, June 29. Asked about Press reports of remarks made by the Japanese official spokesman at Shanghai regarding foreign extraterritorial rights in China, Mr R. A. Butler, Under-Secretary 'for Foreign Affairs, told the House of Commons today that Lord Halifax, Foreign Secretary, had instructed the British Ambassador in Tokio to take up the matter with Japan.
