Miss A. M. Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:— Barograph, 29.50. Shade temperature: Maximum 50.6, minimum 40.6, terrestrial 31.8. Sunshine, 6 minutes; rain, 6 points. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 6 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today.
General situation: A deep depression is centred east of Otago. Pressure remains low over the Dominion and several more depressions may be expected before a complete change of weather is experienced. Forecast: Moderate westerly winds predominating and freshening at times. Weather: Cloudy to overcast with occasional rain, more especially in and west of ranges,. Temperatures rather cooler.
