AIR MAIL SERVICES
EXPENDITURE BY FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. UP TO £220,000 A YEAR. CANBERRA, June 30. The Hon. H. V. C. Thorby, Minister of Defence, announced that the Federal Government intended to spend up to £220,000 a year on air mail services. The Empire flying boat service will cost £130,000 a year and subsidies to internal services nearly £90,000.
