Mrs Wilson Paku, of Matarika, left today on a visit to Timaru. Mrs E. Quinn, of Carterton, left yesterday on a visit to Oamaru. Mrs A. P. Dougherty, of Hukanui, is an inmate of the Pahiatua Hospital. Mrs W. Dick, of Pahiatua, is spending a holiday in the North Auckland district.

Mrs J. A. Toogood and Miss Eila Toogood, of “Ngaiana,” Masterton, are visiting Feilding. Mrs Walker, of Hastings, is visiting her daughter, Mrs G. B. Young, Church Street, Masterton. Mrs Jane Viles,' who has resided for 64 years in Featherston, recently celebrated her 88th birthday. Mrs L. F. Johnson, of Miramar, and her daughter Suzanne, are the guests of Mrs C. S. Taylor, Waireaka. Miss I. Wiggins, of Greytown, was the guest of Mrs G. C. L. Dickel, Essex Street, Masterton, during the week. Miss Mavis Taylor, of the staff of the Karitane Hospital, Wellington, was a visitor to Masterton during the week. Mrs M. Moriarty, of Mangaramarama, who has been an inmate of a private hospital in Palmerston North, has returned home.

At Napier on Saturday afternoon the marriage took place of Annie Adeline, only daughter of Mr and Mrs J. J. Walker, Napier, and Cecil Hubert Sievers, of Mangamaire, son of Mrs G. Sievers, of Dannevirke, and the late Mr G. Sievers. Miss Molly Collister, Napier, and Miss Florence Sanders, Palmerston North, were bridesmaids. Mr Allan Congdon, Wellington, was best man, . Mr W. Clothier, Napier, groomsman, and Messrs G. R. Galbreath and S. Whitton ushers.
