DEBATE AT PAHIATUA. “That Germany should be restored her lost Colonies,” was the subject of a debate held in Pahiatua last night between teams representing the Masterton Catholic Club, which took the affirmative, and the Pahiatua Literary and Debating Club. The members of the teams were: Masterton, Messrs W. Brady, W. Orange and W. Green; Pahiatua, W. A. Carthew and J. Sefton Walsh. Mr J. W., Sturtin presided, and the judge, Mr Dawson, awarded the debate to Pahiatua, the best speaker being Mr Salter.
