GREYTOWN
MAGISTRATE’S COURT. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly sitting of the Greytown Magistrate’s Court was held on Wednesday. Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M., occupied the bench. Jack Matthews was fined £3 and 10s costs for unlawfully aiding and assisting in the supply of liquor to natives. For riding a bicycle at night without a light Jack Loader was fined 10s and costs 10s. Francis Brodie Browning, of Wellington, was convicted and fined £lO and medical expenses £2 2s, for being intoxicated whilst in charge of a car. His licence was cancelled for six months. The Magistrate remarked that he did not consider this a very bad case. Thomas Henry Collingham, Welling-, ton, was convicted, with 10s costs only for exceeding the speed limit. James Robert Mortlock, Wellington, for exceeding the speed limit within the Borough of Greytown, was convicted and fined £2 and costs 10s. For having no-warrant of ■ fitness George Richardson Young, of Masterton, was fined 10s and costs 10s. , Herbert William Jordan was convicted and fined £1 and costs 10s for failing to give way to traffic on the right, and for having no warrant fitness he was fined £1 and costs 10s. The case against Owen Arthur Cadwalla&er for allowing .a horse to wander was dismissed. . GOLF.
