ITALY & FRANCO
REPORTED CONCESSIONS TO BRITAIN LIMITS ON AIR BOMBING ATTACKS. SIGNOR GAYDA’S STORY. (Recd This Day, 10.40 a.m.) ROME, June 29. In an inspired article in the “Giornale D’ltalia,” Signor V. Gayda says Count Ciano (Foreign Minister) told Lord Perth (British Ambassador) that General Franco had undertaken that his aeroplanes should not attack British ships on the high seas and should discriminate in their favour while bombing ports. He would establish a free port for the use of legitimate trade.
