AN EASY WIN
THE KIWIS AT TAMWORTH. TEAM BEST IN FINAL STAGES. SYDNEY, June 29. The New Zealand Rugby League tourists scored a comparatively easy win against a country team at Tamworth today by 26 —15. The Kiwis led at half-time by 16 —0. The visitors were beaten for the ball by the home hooker and this cramped their backs. Nevertheless, W. Brimble served them well when opportunity offered. J. Anderson played a great game among the forwards. contributing twelve points from two tries and three goals. The forwards had a lot of hard work and wrecked most of the movements initiated by the local half-back. Kay and McNeil combined nicely, each scoring. New Zealand were at their best in the final stages, a number of sparkling movements coming from the back division. The attendance was 2500 and receipts £154. Scorers were: New Zealand, Anderson and Kay (two tries each), McNeil and Glynn (one try). Goals were kicked by Anderson (3) and Smith (1). For Tamworth, Denton, Herden and Knight scored tries, and Woodbury kicked three goals.
