The Japanese landing on the coast of South China, near the island of Namoa, is believed to herald the longexpected invasion of South China. The Chinese are harrying the Japanese communications between Nanking and Shanghai. The Japanese have resumed their offensive on the Lung Hai Railway after the floods. OUTBREAK OF CHOLERA. HONG KONG, June 28. Concern has been aroused in Hong Kong by the occurrence of seven cases of cholera in 24 hours. YANGTSE FIGHTING. UNEASINESS IN HANKOW. SHANGHAI, June 28. The Chinese admit that the Japanese on the south bank of the Yangtse have broken their line at Matang, necessitating the rushing of reinforcements to defend the boom in the river, which is being heavily shelled. The Japanese threat to Kiukiang is causing alarm in Hankow owing to the danger of a thrust through Nanchang to Changshaw for the purpose of cutting the Hankow-Canton railway.
