OPTIMIST CLUB
TEA AND DANCE VISITORS ENTERTAINED A large party of members of the Wellington Optimist Club visited Masterton last night as the guests of the local club, and were entertained at tea and later at a dance in the new Y.M.C.A. Hall. On behalf of the Masterton Club, the Chiep Optimist. Mr F. Gillions extended a welcome to the visitors. The Wellington Chief Optimist. Mr H. Brookes suitably replied. Following a sing-song under his leadership, the Dominion Chief Optimist. Mr Harold Hindle, gave a short ad-| dress. Mr Hindle referred to the! foundation of the Optimist Club move-• ment, and the important part which it i played in his life. From it. they alii learnt to see the best in everything. I Music for the dancing was supplied | by Mr J. Barnes, and extras were play- ■ ed by Mr W. Mason on his accordeon.l
