Miss A. M. Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:— Barograph, 29.92. Shade temperature: Maximum 53.9, minimum 45.4, terrestrial 42.1. Sunshine, 54 minutes; rain, 55 points. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 70 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. General situation: Yesterday’s depression has passed eastward and pressure has risen over the Dominion. It is still relatively low, however, in the Cook Strait area. There has been little change in South-eastern Australia and several secondary depressions may be expected. Forecast: Moderate to strong southerly to south-west-erly winds turning shortly to westerly or north-westerly. Weather fair to cloudy, but witn some scattered showers, more especially in and west of ranges. Temperatures mild.
