ELECTION IN RUSSIA
NO DISPUTED ISSUES 4 ALL CANDIDATES RETURNED UNOPPOSED. STALIN AT HEAD OF LIST. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) (British Official Wireless.) (Recd This Day, 12.25 p.m.) MOSCOW, July 26. Elections were held throughout Russia, ninety million citizens polling for 726 deputies, all of whom were unopposed. There were no disputed issues. A holiday spirit prevailed and the chief cities were bedecked with red. Stalin headed the list of leaders elected to the supreme Soviet.
