“If- a letter occasionally goes astray, don't be too eager to complain and think you are the only one in need of service,” said Mr H. J. Sole, when addressing representatives of commercial firms in Christchurch on the use of the mail services of the New Zealand Post Office. He told his listeners that the Post Office handled two hundred and sixty million letters a year, and with that huge volume of mail the margin of error made by the sorters was remarkably low.
