LOST COLONIES

DEBATE AT PAHIATUA. A party of members of the Masterton Catholic Debating Club will visit Pahiatua next Wednesday evening to take part in a debate with the Pahiatua Literary and Debating Society. The speakers for Masterton on the all-engrossing subject, “Germany’s Lost Colonies,” will be Messrs W. Brady (leader), W. C. Orange, and W. Green. The Pahiatua society will be represented by Messrs D. R. Salter (leader), A. W. Carthew, and Sefton Walsh. Masterton will take the affirmative: “That Germany Should be Restored Her Lost Colonies.” It promises to be a highly spirited debate as there are good, solid arguments on either side. .The visiting debaters will be afterwards entertained at supper.
