LONDON QUOTATIONS. MEAT BOARD’S REPORT. Lamb market: Prices for primes are steady, but demand has been affected by hot weather. Secondary lamb easier on the heavier supplies. Mutton market: Wethers firm on the short supplies. Ewes steady, with slow trade. Beef market: Chilled beef easier this week on the heavier supplies. New Zealand porker pigs: Trade slow. New Zealand baconer pigs: Market quiet and unchanged; very few available. The above report was received yesterday by the Meat Board from its London office, which advises that the following are the ruling prices of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of frozen meat mentioned and are for representative parcels of the goods sold on Thursday. Chilled beef prices are averages of the week. All prices are on the basis of delivered to Smithfield Market. Prices for the previous week are shown in parentheses:—

LAMB PRICES EASIER.
Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated June 23: —Frozen meat quotations (prices on a delivered basis, i.e„ including storage charges, cartage, market tolls, etc., are as follow: — North Island Down lambs, 28/361bs„ 7 5-8 d; 36/42, 7Jd. Best North Island crossbred lambs, ‘2B/36, 73 d; 36/42, 7 3-Bd. North Island second quality lambs, average 30/31, 7 l-Bd. Best North Island wether sheep, under 18, 6d; 48/56, 53d; 56/64. 53d; 64/72, sd. North Island ewes, under 481b5.,
4d; 48/56, 3 5-8 d; 56/64, 3 3-8 d; 64/72, 33d. • Compared with last weeks quotations, Down lambs, 26/361bs.- and second quality - lambs are l-8d per lb. lower; ewes, 48/56, l-8d per lb. higher; others unchanged. The lamb market is slightly easier; the mutton market is steady.
