STATE THEATRE.

SHIRLEY TEMPLE ON SATURDAY. The “City Girl” and “Double Danger” will be shown finally at the State Theatre tonight. A star —surrounded by stars! That’s Shirley Temple, America’s top-ranking star in her best-of-all musical, “Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm.” Stars, 40 of them, were assembled from the screen, the musical world, playwriting profession and from among dance directors for this picture where the average musical hit has one or two teams of “song-smiths,” seven star writers were assigned to the film which will open tomorrow afternoon at 2.15 o’clock at the State Theatre. Raymond Griffith, star of the silent films, was made executive producer. Alan Dwan, one of Hollywood’s ace directors of gay films, handled the megaphone and Nick Castle and Geneva Sawyer, dance directors were put in charge of the tap-speed routines. The star-studded cast inclues Randolph Scott, Gloria Stuart, Jack Haley, Phyllis Erooks, Helen Westley, Slim Summerville, Bill Robinson, Alan Dinehart, J. Edward Bromberg, Dixie Dunbar, Paul Hurst, William Demarest, Ruth Gillette, Paul Haryfey, Franklin Pangborn, the Raymond Scott Qintet and many more. Topping off a list of six new song hits by Gordon and Revel Pollack and Mitchell, Pokrass and Yellen, and Raymond Scott, Shirley Temple adds a number of the songs from her previous starring pictures.
