Stevens, has tabled a re's port in the Legislative Assembly of the y views of London experts on power den velopment throughout New South ’s Wales. it The experts recommend the electrie fication of the main railways from Sydg ney to Newcastle, Goulburn, Lithgow d and Nowra, all within 140 miles of the g city, the outlay for which would be s £10,000,000 spread over ten years. They also recommend that hydro-elec-e trie systems should be set up in the . country for the generation of power for tj the railways and the development of j the rural and urban areas.
