In the House of Commons Mr Chamberlain referred to. Mr Cordell Hull’s recent statement that the United States was prepared to join with other nations in moving resolutely towards bringing about an effective agreement on the limitation and' progressive reduction of araments, and added: —"As I have already stated, Britain is in full agreement with these sentiments, and will neglect no suitable opportunity of co-operating with the United States, and other governments to attain these objects.” In reply to a supplementary question. Mr Chamberlain remarked: "If any invitation is addressed to us by the United States, we shall certainly respond to it.”
