KIWIS DEFEAT TOOWOOMBA BY ONE POINT HEMI’S KICKING PROVIDES WINNING MARGIN TOOWOOMBA. June 22. The New Zealand Rugby League footballers narrowly beat Toowoomba by 12 points to 11 after a game in which the losers dominated almost the entire second half. Only Hemi's kicking provided the winning margin. Toowoomba scored three tries and the Kiwis two. The tackling was weak. With the exception of McNeight and Herring the visitors were too prone to go for the head instead of taking their man low. Anderson was the outstanding forward on the ground. His clever backing up resulted in two tries. Kay made several brilliant openings and combined well with Chase. Orman was beaten for the ball in the first half, but got it in the vital, concluding stages.

The Queensland team for Saturday is unaltered.
