TREASON LAWS
EXTENDED FROM GERMANY TO AUSTRIA APPLIED TO ANY ACTION AGAINST NAZIS. USE OF THE HEADSMAN’S AXE. BERLIN, June 21. A decree published extends Germany’s high treason laws to Austria. A number of Austrians will be invited to serve in a people’s court which will be empowered to punish, by beheading. espionage or any other form of action against the Nazi regime. PRIESTS ARRESTED. CHARGES OF IMMORALITY. VIENNA, June 21. Sixty Catholic priests have been arrested on charges of immorality. Some of them have been imprisoned for seven months.
