Miss A. M. Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today: — Barograph, 29.80. Shade temperature: Maximum 62.2, minimum 40.2, terrestrial. 37.7. Sunshine, 6 hours 36 min. Rain, 8 points. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 10 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. General situation: Pressure is relatively low over the whole Dominion; the advance of an intense anti-cyclone from south-eastern Australia has been retarded by the formation of a secondary depression which is now moving on the southern extremity of the Dominion.. Forecast: Light to moderate northerly winds predominating, backing by tomorrow morning to strong south-westerly. Weather, overcast with intermittent rain. Temperatures becoming cold tomorrow.
