WRESTLING
RAINES GAINS DECISION OVER FRALEY.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day.
A hard and exciting wrestling bout at the Town Hall, Wellington, last night ended in Dick Raines obtaining a "points decision over Pat Fraley, after each had obtained a fall. It was a rough and animated contest. Fraley trapped Raines in a brilliant flying toe-hold, whipped on as a counter to a flying tackle in the fourth round. Two rounds later Raines dumped Fraley repeatedly across his knee in a back-breaker hold, which left Fraley temporarily incapacitated. He fought off Raines throughout the seventh round, and in the last round made a vigorous recovery, but the referee, Mr Alf Jenkins, awarded the bout to Raines.
