CLEARING SALE AT KAIWAIWAI
Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd., in conjunction with the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency report having held a very satisfactory clearing sale on account of S. J. Geange, Kaiwaiwai. There was a large attendance of local and outside buyers. Farm implements sold under keen competition and generally speaking good prices were realized. The dairy cows and heifers were not in the best of condition, but early calvers brought keen competition. A complete clearance was made at the followihg values: —July and August calvers, £8 10s, £9 10s, £lO, j£ll, and up to £l2, September and October calvers, £7 10s, £B, and up to £9, later calvers, £5 15s to .£7 10s, rising two-year heifers, August calvers, £4 10s to £6 7s 6d, empty 15 to 18 months heifers, £3 Bs, and weaner heifers, £2 10s. On account of other vendors:— Springing heifers, £5 15s to £B, and cows due July and August, £7 to £lO. Implements: Caterpillar tractor 10, £174, 3 f. plough, £27, drill, £3O, Cambridge roller, £ll, grass harrow, £7.
