HEALTH CAMP CONCERT PARTY

A concert will be given in the Opera House on Thursday next in aid of the Otaki' Children’s Health Camp and Opera House Furnishing Fund. The Hamua Glee Party, always popular with audiences, will appear in two bracketed numbers presenting action songs, poi dances, etc. Solo dances will be given by Miss Noeline Graham and Valmai Price. Evelyn Oliver and Mr William McMichael will present popular songs and ballads, and Mr Syd Gerrand’s clever little dog “Teddy” will entertain all with his amazing tricks, which must be seen to be realised. The humour is in the capable hands of the popular Harry Hall, who will appear in a number of character songs and lightning changes. Miss Nona Mulvey is the accompaniste of the party. Six little girls (pupils of Miss Hazel Lock) will be seen in ballet tap dancing. Miss Adelaide Burnett will appear with her team of dancers from Wellington. Songs will be given by Mr Walter Johansen, Mrs J. Moss and a talented young Maori singer, Miss Peggy Proughton. Messrs Rex and Ross Riley and D. Wellington with a saxaphone, will complete a first-class entertainment. Popular prices will be charged —dress circle and front stalls Is 6d, back stalls Is. Patrons are advised to come early as numbers were unable to gain admittance at the concert held last month.
