Frost, LI degrees. General situation: Pressure is still low over New Zealand, especially in the south. The last of the present series of westerly ■ depressions is now, however, passing, and there has been a rapid rise of pressure over southeastern Australia. Forecase: Moderate to strong north-westerly winds, changing to southerlies during tonight. Weather changeable with occasional rain, later becoming, heavy in places. Temperatures cold 'to mild and some snow on the ranges.
