FOOTBALLER’S DEATH
INJURED IN MATCH (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI, June 19. A Maori Rugby footballer, Andrew Heremai, aged 33, died in the Wanganui Public Hospital at 7.30 p.m. yesterday after receiving injuries when playing in a third-grade match at Bulls. His head was apparently struck accidentally by another player’s knee. Heremai walked oft' the field but then collapsed. After receiving medical attention at Bulls and later at Marton, he was admitted to the Wanganui Hospital at 7 p.m. and died half an hour later.
