BUSINESS ON DOMINION EXCHANGES DETAILS OF SATURDAY’S SALES The following sales were recorded on the Dominion Stock Exchanges on Saturday: — WELLINGTON
GOLD MINING RETURNS The New River dredge returned 21 ounces from 11,000 yards for 126 hours. The White’s Electric return was 29 ounces for 123 hours from 6300 yards. The Mataki Junction return was 47 ounces for 129 hours from 21,000 yards. The Worksop Extended dredge returned 48oz. for 129 hours from 10,500 yards. The Nemona return amounted to 84oz for 118 hours from 13,800 yards. Big River Gold Mines, Limited, report the following gold return for the month of May:—Battery department: 337 tons of ore crushed for 210 oz lOdwt. of melted gold. Cyanide department: 150 tons of sands treated for 230 z of bullion. Total estimated value, £1570. In addition, 4 tons lOcwt. of concentrates were saved, valued at £125. Note: In estimating the above values gold has been taken at 140 per fine ounce. The Maori Gully dredge return is 41oz lldwt. for 121 hours.
