The Bayonne correspondent of “The Times" says out of the “Lost Division,” only 300 elected to go to Nationalist Spain. The total number of refugees is estimated to exceed 12,000. Many arrived on the very point of collapse from hunger and exhaustion after fighting in the mountains, where it was impossible to carry big stores of provision. The commander of the division estimates the insurgents’ casualties at 10.000. and those of the loyalists 1,200.
