HEAVY FIGHTING SOUTH OF CASTELLON ALICANTE AND VALENCIA BOMBED TWELVE KILLED IN FORMER PORT By Telegraph—Press Association. Copyright. (Recd This Day, 9.25 a.m.) MADRID, June 17. A big battle is raging south of Castellon. Planes dropped fifty bombs on Alicante, killing twelve persons, and injuring 27. Valencia was also raided. LOST DIVISION MOST OF ITS MEMBERS REPATRIATED PERPIGNAN, June 17. The nationalist flag was ceremonially hoisted on the French frontier today. All members of the "lost” division, except 80 who preferred not to return, have now left France without incident, declaring that they were happy to return in order to be used on other fronts.
