GOLF

EX-SOLDIERS' TOURNAMENT Arrangements are well in hand for the Wairarapa Returned Soldiers’ annual golf tournament to be held on the Riverside Links on Thursday, June 23. Several cups and trophies have been donated for the winners and run-ners-up in the competitions, and are on view in the window of J. Elliott and Co.’s sports depot, Queen Street, together with a fine display of war relics. The morning will be taken up with a medal round in conjunction with a Stableford competition, and in the afternoon a four-ball competition will be played for the R.S.A. Cup. There will also be a novelty driving competition.
