The Mexican Government has completed a deal through a New York firm for ten million barrels of oil. consisting largely of expropriated British and American property, in the ensuing six months, says the Mexico City correspondent of the “New York Times.” Sixty per cent of payment will be in German materials and machinery and the remainder in cash. It is understood that no provision has been made to provide amortisation for the expropriated companies out of this deal, and that the oil is designed principally for German markets.
