Frost, 7.9 degrees. General situation: Pressure is relatively high over the North Island, but falling in the south, under the influence of a shallow but deepening depression, which is advancing across the Tasman Sea gradually. Forecast: Light to freshening northerly winds. Weather fair to fine; temperatures rather milder, but frosts still probable tonight.
