LABOUR CANDIDATE WINS. (Recd This Day, 1.20 p.m.) LONDON. June 17. The Barnsley by-election, owing to the death of Mr J. Potts (Labour) resulted:— F. Collindridge (Labour) 23,566 S. Howard (Liberal National) 13,052 The voting at the general election of 1935 was: J. Potts (Labour), 25,318; R. J. Soper (Liberal National) 17,683.
