AN AMENDED PLAN

HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATION BLOCK. SUGGESTED BY DEPARTMENT. “The Health Department has drawn up another amended plan for the administration block,” stated the chairman, Mr H. H. Mawley, at yesterday’s meeting of the Wairarapa Hospital Board. “The Department,” he added, “says its plan will be cheaper and will provide a bigger board room and larger offices. They made considerable alterations to our plan when it was forwarded for approval. One of the drawbacks is that it will mean calling for fresh tenders. At present we have a definite price from Mr W. H. Judd.” After a brief discussion it was decided that the matter of the 'amended plan be referred to the Finance Committee, which will confer with officers of the Department and report back to the next meeting of the Board.
