ANNUAL STAFF DANCE

AN ENJOYABLE FUNCTION. The Masonic Hall was well-filled last night when the staff of Hugo and Shearer, Ltd, held their annual dance. A capable committee under the joint secretaryship of Miss D. Kemp and Mr H. Wright, had all arrangements well in hand and the function went with a swing. The Monte Carlo competition was won by Miss E. Brader and Mr R. Jackson, and the Lucky Spot by Miss J. Orr and Mr D. Smith. The hall was effectively decorated, the firms’ colours, blue and white predominating. Good music was provided by Pool’s Blue River Orchestra.
