PERSONALITIES
FRANK MORGAN’s real name is Wupperman and he started his adult life as a brush salesman in spite of the fact that his family was wealthy. ■ He became an actor chiefly because his brother Ralph did and now he likes it. Born in New York City, Morgan attained the distinction of being the best boy soprano in town when he sang at St. Thomas’s and All Angels' churches. After an elementary and high school education he went to Cor--1 nell University, but abandoned it after two years for a business career. His first stage play was "Mr Wu” with Walker Whiteside. He has played in more than forty Broadway successes. His first screen role was in "Secrets of the French Police.” His unique comedy characterisations have made him one of the busiest actors in Hollywood. He is featured in "Beg, Borrow or Steal” at the Regent next week.
