Confidence that the French plans for aircraft construction were progressing satisfactorily was expressed by the Minister of Air, M. Guy Chambre, at a meeting of the Council of Ministers. He said the scheduled mass production had begun of 300 miles an hour fighters, a squadron of which was to take part in an air review in honour of the King of England’s visit. The Council passed decrees substantially expanding the personnel of the Air Force.
