Y.M.C.A. HELPERS
MEETING OF AUXILIARY The president, Mrs G. R. Beecroft, presided at the monthly meeting of the Y.M.C.A. Ladies’ Auxiliary, held at the residence of Mrs Physick, Queen Street. A letter was received from the Women's National Welfare League, asking for delegates to attend a meeting to discuss the formation of a Home Service Association. Mesdames Bannister and Prescott were appointed. An invitation was received for the members to attend a lecture by Miss E. Andrews of the Pan-Pacific Association.
It was decided that the annual Mother and Son Tea should be held on Thursday, June 30. Arrangements were made for the catering and programme.
Plans for the juvenile concert were advanced a further stage. It was decided to hold the concert just prior to the next school holidays. Mesdames Beecroft, Cottle and Corskie were appointed a furnishings committee for the new premises. Various members of the Auxiliary undertook to attend to the supper arrangements for the opening night.
