SCIENTIST’S END
JUMP FROM FOURTH FLOOR WINDOW.
(Recd This Day, 9.30 a.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, June 14.
Dr William Campbell, aged 76, expresident of the University of California and ex-Director of the famous Lick Observatory, jumped from a fourth-floor window of an apartment and was killed. He had been despondent and left notes for his family.
