HELP BY PLANE
FOR GERMANS ON NANGA PARBAT FOOD DROPPED BY PARACHUTE LONDON. June 13. It is reported from Kashmir that a Junkers plane was sent out to help the German Himalayan expedition attempting to climb Nanga Parbat. says the Munich correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph.” The machine flew over the mountain last Friday and dropped over half a ton of provisions by parachutes to the climbers, who were encamped at 18,000 feet. A British officer from the Indian Air Force was aboard the plane as observer.
