WEST AUSTRALIAN INCREASE.

The State Arbitration Court fixed the increased basic wage, operating from July 1, as follows: — Metropolitan area, males, £4, a rise of 5s Id; females. £2 3s 2d, a rise of 2s 9d.
Agricultural areas: Males, £4 Is, a rise of 5s 2d; females, £2 3s 9d, a rife of 2s lOd.
Goldfield areas: Males, £4 13s 3d, a rise of 6s 3d; females, £2 10s 4d, a rise of 3s 4d.
