COSY THEATRE
“DRACULA’S DAUGHTER.” One of the strangest dramas of the season is “Dracula’s Daughter,” the spine-tingling Universal film which comes to the Cosy Theatre tonight. The original “Dracula” created a sensation several years ago, as a novel, a stage play and on -the screen. The present picture is a sequel to that Weirdly fascinating story of vampires. Otto Kruger, Marguerite Churchill, Irving Pichel, Gloria Holden and Edward Van Sloan play featured roles in this screen play which develops an unusual theme in a striking fashion. “Nobody’s Fool,” a smart, swiftly, paced farce comedy, will also be shown. Edward Everett Horton is the star, and his present role gives splendid scope for his unusual comedy methods. Glenda Farrell, an excellent foil for the amusing Horton, portrays the character with a pert sense of humour. Cesar Romero is entertaining as a modern highbinder. Warren Hymer, the fellow who plays the eternal clown, is a valuable addition to the cast, which includes John King, Diana Gibson, Nan Gray, Marla Shelton and Henry Hunter.
