U.S. WHEAT SURPLUS

POSSIBILITIES OF MARKET IN EUROPE WASHINGTON, June 12. President Roosevelt has ordered a comprehensive study of European wheat supplies and needs in the hope of finding an outlet for part of the huge surplus which the United States is now producing. He conferred today with Mr H. A. Wallace, Secretary of Agriculture, and Mr Sayre, Assistant Secretary of State, and entrusted to them the quest of foreign markets.
