BASKETBALL
ARRANGEMENT FOR INDOOR GAMES.
Arrangements are well in hand for the inauguration in Masterton of interhouse indoor basketball, under the auspices of the Y.M.C.A. On Tuesday next, a meeting of members of the various teams is to be held in the new Y.M.C.A. hall, where a demonstration of the game will be given. Each team will also be called upon to elect a delegate to represent them on a management committee. Next Thursday night a series of practice games will be played, and on the . following Thursday, competition-matches will commence. The following teams have been entered to date, and there are several other possible entries: —Faulknor’s Service Station. C. Smith, Ltd., Y.M.C.A., Defence, Kiatere Harriers, Old Boys and C. E. Daniell, Ltd. Messrs R. Costello, D. Leete, A. E. Bate and C. Greagor will be the referees, two controlling each game. Any teams wiishing to enter are requested to get in touch with the Y.M.C.A. without delay. :
