In the semi-finals of the men’s championship singles at the French tennis tournament, Budge beat Pallada 6/2, 6/3. 6/3; R. B. Menzel (Czechoslovakia) beat F. Puncec (Yugoslavia) 6/4, 6/4, 6/4. In the women's singles, semi-finals, Madame Mathieu beat Mlle Halil 6/1. 6/1; Madame Landry beat Mlle Conquerque 6/2, 6/4. In the mixed doubles, quarter finals, Mako and Mrs Hopman beat Sanglier and Mlle Horner 6 1, 6,0; Boussus and Miss Wynne beat Van Swol and Miss York 3/6. 6/3, 7/5.
