CHILD’S BODY FOUND

SEQUEL TO KIDNAPPING IN FLORIDA MAN ARRESTED AND OTHERS BEING QUESTIONED RANSOM MONEY RECOVERED By Telegraph—Press Association. Copyright. (Recd This Day, 9.30 a.m.) MIAMI (Florida), June 9. Mr J. Edgar Hoover has announced that the body of Jimmy Cash, was discovered in dense underbrush, half a mile from Princeton, in an advanced stage of decomposition. The ransom money was also found, and the showbox in which it was delivered, was discovered torn to pieces and hidden under a stone elsewhere.

Mr Hoover stated that Franklin Pierce McCall, aged 21, of Princeton, had been arrested. He admitted writing the ransom notes, and receiving the money, but it is understood that he did not confess to the kidnapping of the child. Hence it is believed that others may be involved. It is reported that four more men are at present being questioned on the basis of leads from McCall’s confession.

James, the SJ-year-old son of Mr J. B. Cash, owner of a chain of petrol stations, was kidnapped from his home at Princeton, Florida, on May 31 last. The child disappeared while his mother was at a nearby petrol station helping her husband to count the day’s receipts. Mr and Mrs Cash found two notes demanding 10,000 dollars ransom, and the ransom was later paid.
