STATE THEATRE.

“BORNEO” TONIGHT.

From the forbidden depths of the isle of the incredible, where fish climb trees, snakes fly and oysters grow on tree-trunks, where native blow-guns breathe death and the head-hunters still lurk, comes the thrilling record of a great adventurer’s greatest adventure, Martin Johnson’s last picture, “Borneo,” a Twentieth Century-Fox release, will be finally shown tonight at the State Theatre. A pioneer in exploration with camera and airplane, Martin Johnson photographed, in Borneo, the last of his, beloved jungles. This is the pictorial climax of an exciting career that led him through the dark, mysterious byways of unknown worlds. The inspiration, execution and results of an advertising puzzle contest are shown in “Everybody’s Doing It,” new RKO Radio comedy drama which stars Preston Foster and Sally Eilers.

Annabella, the sensational star discovery of two continents whose activities have been important news to moviegoers everywhere since she arrived in Hollywood to make her starring debut in the film capital, is acclaimed as the loveliest thing on the screen in “Dinner at the Ritz,” New World picture released by G.B.D. Studios, coming tomorrow at 2.15 p.m. to the State Theatre. In a story as tensely exciting as its star is excitingly lovely, the most dangerous intrigue that ever involved a beautiful woman in love whirls Annabella from the brilliant salons of Paris through the fabulous gaming rooms of Monte Carlo to a luxurious private yacht on the Mediterranean. Paul Lukas, David Niven and Romney Brent are featured in the cast. In the background of the thrilling story Paul Lukas and David Niven supply added romantic interest, as they vie for love of Annabella.
