PROGRESS IN RESTORING ORDER .

FULL PROTECTIVE MEASURES MAINTAINED. ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT. (British Official Wireless.) (Recd This Day, 11 a.m.) RUGBY, June 8. The Colonial Office has received a telegram from the Hon C. C. Woolley, the officer administering the Government of Jamaica, stating that the situation in Kingston is normal and there has been a material improvement throughout the provinces. A large cane fire is reported in the Orange Valley at Trelawny, and a small disturbance in the parish. In the Port Nurant area, eight arrests have been made, for intimidation. Full protective measures are being maintained.
