MRS M. REYNOLDS
CELEBRATION OF HUNDREDTH BIRTHDAY.
TOMORROW’S ANNIVERSARY.
Mrs M. Reynolds, of Renall Street, Masterton, will celebrate her 100th birthday tomorrow. Mrs Reynolds, who has resided in Masterton for the past thirty years, is quite active and happy and enjoys .remarkably good health. Her only weakening of faculty is some difficulty in hearing. Mrs Reynolds came to New Zealand when she was 26 years of age, taking up a property with her husband at “Mayfield,” East Taratahi, where she resided for a considerable period. In those pioneering days she and her husband had many thrilling experiences in their task of establishing a home in a wilderness of thick manuka.
Many residents of the Wairarapa and elsewhere will join tomorrow in wishing Mrs Reynolds “many happy returns” and in congratulating her on attaining her hundredth birthday. The occasion will be marked by a reunion of all surviving members of the family.
