COUNT VON LUCKNER

UNFRIENDLY RECEPTION IN SYDNEY HOOTS AND ABUSE IN TOWN HALL GIVING NO MORE LECTURES (Recd This Day, 10.50 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Hostile demonstrators in the gallery of the Sydney Town Hall bombarded Count von Luckner, when he appeared to lecture to them, with hoots and shouts of "Fascist spy!" "Down with Hitler!” and “Murderer!” Ragged telephone books were hurled on to the stage. After nearly thirty men and women had been removed by the police, the lecture was delivered in comparative peace, but, as a result of the demonstration, it is announced that Count von Luckner will give no more lectures in Sydney.
